December 26, 2011

Hola familia, This week we learned a lot and my comp and I are starting to teach with more and more unity. We are going to be together for the next transfer for sure. I'm excited because we are awesome friends and we get along way well.  It rained so much yesterday that the kids were almost swimming in the road. Water was everywhere and alot of the roads looked like lakes. It was crazy. We crossed through water that got up to our knees and we were just laughing . My feet are out of my shoes right now because they are still wet haha. But we found some awesome families this week and we have alot of hope for them. We will see what happens. But we will sure work hard to help them as much as we can. We had a rough time yesterday. We didn't see our investigators in church that we've been teaching for awhile. We're going to be alot more firm when we teach them and explain to them the necesidad that they have to go to church. I realize the Lord knows how to build us up and make us stronger and he is always willing to make you become a better you and a more stronger you. For us the most important is that he can make us a lot better tool in his hands to bring to pass his work. It's a lot more humble Christmas here. They don't get too many things for Christmas like we do in the states. One or two things and they are happy with what they got. I realized that Christmas is just as special to them as it is to us. I had something happen that made me think this week. I taught this guy who was telling me that drunks are a lot better than those who are righteous because a lot of them don't know that they are sinning. I was thinking you're absolutely crazy. But then Sunday this drunk guy came into church and sat next to me and started telling me why he came to church. I put my finger to my lip so he would quiet down a bit and then he turned, folded his arms and listened to the talks. It made me realize that to those who is given much, much is required. We have truly been blessed with the knowledge of how to follow the gospel and all the things that we need to do to follow it and recieve the blessings that come from it. We need to live up to the standards of the Lord because of the many blessings that we have been given. Those who become drunk know that they aren't following Christ and are sinning because of the light of Christ that they have. But how much better are we who know more when we sin and don't follow the path that we know we should follow that the Savior has set for us. It's truly a blessing to know what we know, but it also shows how we don't have much room to make mistakes. That we should always remember whose name we have taken upon us and who we have promised we will always remember. And if we do so, we will always be able to keep his commandments. This work will always go on and we will be here working strong until we end. I realize that my calling is crucial and that I need to serve with all my heart might and mind. That's the only way this work should and can be done. We are going work harder this week than we did the last and always try to improve. I'm excited to see what we willl accomplish and the blessings and trials that will come with it. How truly blessed we are to be part of the true church. What a responsibility we have to share it with all of those who are willing to follow it. I am excited to write you next week and tell you what this week brought . I love you guys so much and hope you can continue to enjoy your holiday.  Love, Elder Christoffersen Vamos a Trabajar
