December 5, 2011

Hola Familia, This was a really good week! We had a lot of success and I hope it keeps going. We are very blessed to be able to baptize this week. We have three planned, so we will work hard so that everything goes smoothly. We will be baptizing a 10 year old named Eddy who is the son of Ninoska (my convert with Elder Sangay) Then we have Daniela and Liseth who are daughters of a mom who is a member. The daughters are really smart and answered the interview questions better than the adults can. The zone leaders were way surprised after they interviewed them too. But what is funny, is that I taught the young men and womens class and my investigators knew the answers to my questions better than the members did, and even those to the plan of salvation that I hadn't even taught them with my companion. But the cool thing is that this week about two times as many members came to church which made me feel way good.  It made the church seem a lot fuller. But we have the two single moms still and they told us they stopped drinking tea and cofee, which is awesome, but they couldn't go to church this week becuase they take care of a house and their family couldn't come to help them out. But I really hope they can work things out because we have worked so hard with them. I hope a miracle happens to really strenghten their desire to be baptized . Then we are working with this young mom who is married to a less active guy who almost went on a mission. He helped the missionaries out a ton when he was younger. But she says she will for sure go to church this week and she will be praying about the book of mormon and Joseph Smith. Well the mission is really something you can never describe. I don't know exactly what it is, but it is making me into a much better person. You can become so strong when you let your Heavenly Father shape you with trials, hardships, and sorrows. It's always worth the blessings that come.   Love, Elder Christoffersen
