Hola familia, This week was very interesting. My companion went to Santa Cruz and I got a new companion. His name is Elder Pino and he is from Cochabamba. He just got out of the mtc. He is very short, but he is a good missionary and he wants to work hard. He wants to be able to teach but he doesn't know the scriptures very well or how to teach. But that doesn't matter. If we have the desire to teach, the Lord will shape us into the instrument that he wants us to be if we only let him. The young single mom who was going to be baptized went to Santa Cruz and so we will have to wait to see if she can be baptized later on in December. But the awesome thing is the two daughters of a less active mom came to church that we are teaching and I am sure that they will be baptized. They just have to keep going to church. It is way sad to see how hard Satan works on people when they really want to go to church. Something happens and then they don't end up going. But I know that God will always win no matter what. So you just have to keep moving on through all of your trials and then all the blessings and trials that you need to become stronger, will always come and this will make it so your life is a lot better and a lot happier. The rain has officially gotten here. It's crazy how hard it can rain here, and with the wind it doesn't matter if you're under a roof or not because the wind just blows and you get wet anyway, ha ha. But it was way funny. My comp just got to our area and it rained hard, and then it isn't raining and then it's pounding rain suddenly. So we we're walking and we were almost to the house that we eat at and I heard pounding rain on the roof of this bigger building behind us. Then I heard "run" and I started trucking it and we got into her little house right before the pounding rain hit. But it was way funny because he told me it scared him. He was wondering why he was running, where is he going, and why did he run right into this house haha. It was way funny. It's crazy having four months with one companion. I miss him now ha ha. It's a little different being the one who can teach and your comp has a hard time. But I will for sure teach him as well as I can so he can teach better. I will help him to work very hard because that truly brings the blessings. I was the same when I started the mission. A little bit more practice with 2 months in the mtc. But I couldn't speak the language well. We all have to struggle when we start off, then we get better, better, and even better. It's pretty crazy but patience is always the key and always will be.
